Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

www.traceysolicitors.ie is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We have an active project that is ongoing to make the website fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA.

Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of www.traceysolicitors.ie, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for www.traceysolicitors.ie

  1. Text alternatives for images in Polish and Portuguese: Some uploaded images that appear alongside Polish or Portuguese content may not have text alternatives in the relevant language. We have an ongoing project to update all legacy content to have text alternatives in the correct language. Please contact us if you encounter an issue.
  2. Video: YouTube videos are embedded using iframes. Some of the components of these iframes have the following known accessibility issues: components do not have sufficient colour contrast, the related videos inner slider is missing an accessible name, some content can disappear on hover, some hidden content is readable with a screen reader, and on logo hover the content is not dismissible. Since these are third-party elements originating from YouTube, Tracey Solicitors LLP currently has no ability to rectify these issues with the iframes code used to embed videos . Our team will continue to seek a solution for these issues.
  3. Design elements with low contrast: There are some items of text design throughout the website, such as teal and lighter grey text boxes, that are low contrast. We are working to amend these brand colour so that there is a higher contrast ratio for improved visibility for all website visitors.
