1. Legal Assistant (Personal Injury)

Tracey Solicitors are a dynamic and progressive law firm based in Dublin city centre specialising in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence litigation. We are expanding our team and are looking for a Legal Assistant with 2+ years experience to join our team. Tracey Solicitors have a terrific team structure, a client centric culture and have been paperless for over 10 years. Overview:

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated legal assistant to join the firm at a time of change for the legal profession in Ireland. The role will be responsible for supporting solicitors in actively managing their daily workloads. You should have the ability to work in a challenging and dynamic environment with evolving priorities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting solicitors in managing caseloads;
  • Handling and dealing with incoming calls from clients, solicitors, medical attendants, insurance companies etc.;
  • Preparing briefs for hearing;
  • Engrossing pleadings;
  • Liaising with barristers/witnesses etc. re hearing dates;
  • Scheduling settlement/consultation meetings on cases;
  • Opening new files & digital dictation.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ Personal Injury Litigation experience;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team to achieve the objective;
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, ‘can do’, customer first attitude;
  • Strong typing skills and happy to use office technology;
  • Multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks;
  • Case management software experience.

2. Plaintiff Litigation Solicitor

Tracey Solicitors is a leading firm in the Plaintiff Litigation Services sector and we are recruiting a Litigation Solicitor.

Specific description of the role within the firm

The firm requires all Solicitors to be proactive and fully engaged in their roles as solicitors within the practice.

The following traits are essential:

  • Previous personal injury litigation experience with a good knowledge of litigation procedures and practices.
  • Highly motivated and confident with the ability to work proactively on their own and within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly manner to enable effective and positive engagement with colleagues, clients etc.
  • ‘Self-starters’, reliable, display technical ability, to be timely, accurate in all their work and exhibit an ability to execute instructions and processes.
  • Engage in continuous learning including appropriate CPD as required by the law Society
  • Adhere to the high operational standards of the firm as independently verified by the institute of Legal Standards & Research.
  • Be commercially focused, client focused and standards of operation and to be self-motivated to ‘skill up’ for the job such that they exhibit sound judgement and provide competent legally based judgment.

Solicitors Responsibilities & Duties (list is not exhaustive):

  • To act in a professional manner and carry out the obligations in the contract of employment
  • To fulfil our obligations as officers of the Court
  • To run and administer cases in a competent manner
  • To Review Diary & Calendar to ensure timely processing or work and use of time
  • To review post and liaise with secretary in regard to the manner in which post can be dealt with through the use of workflows and case management system
  • To instruct and assist secretaries in dealing with their daily job tasks and any queries that they arise.
  • To constantly monitor Statute Reminders and risk management
  • To ensure rigorous and disciplined file maintenance including data entry specifically focused on contacts, dates, case references, letters, email and memo labelling
  • To attend Court for hearings and Settlements
  • To continue to review fee income and outstanding bills of costs
  • Monthly review of accounts with Finance and business owners
  • To return calls/emails to clients and third party’s within a timely fashion and as specified in the client’s service excellent culture statement.
  • To ensure that all undertakings are complied with in full.
  • To share case experiences with the litigation team
  • To implement and adhere to professional service standard criteria operated by the firm

3. Legal Executive – Debt Recovery

Tracey Solicitors are a dynamic and progressive Law Firm based in Dublin. They are specialised in Litigation and operate their debt recovery services under Carlisle Solicitors.

We have a specialist debt recovery department focused on providing an efficient quality service, whilst maintaining excellent client care.

Our paperless office ensures we are systems and procedures driven.

We are people centred and have an empowered workforce.

As part of a new phase of business growth and development, we are seeking an experienced Debt Recovery Legal Executive.  This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join the firm.

The role will have a responsibility to actively manage a file portfolio with the support of a supervising Solicitor.

The person will have the ability to work in a challenging environment with changing priorities. The role requires a motivated and enthusiastic person with a focus on client care.

Essential skills and experience:

  1. Previous debt recovery legal experience with a good knowledge of debt recovery legal procedures and practices.
  2. Excellent communication skills with a friendly manner to enable effective and positive engagement with colleagues, clients etc.
  3. Display technical knowledge with a high degree of accuracy and experience of executing instructions and processes.
  4. Excellent MS Office and IT skills
  5. Strong Typing Skills (ideally 60wpm and high accuracy)

Essential Core Competencies:

  • Highly motivated and confident with the ability to work proactively on their own and within a team.

Internship Opportunities

We are proud to play our part in helping the next generation of legal professionals to find their first employment opportunity.

Our internships typically last for a period of 6 to 12 months — and are usually terminated by the intern, following a job offer based on the experience they’ve accumulated during their time with us. We offer a lot of responsibility to our interns, and demand the same professional standards that we’d expect from more seasoned legal staff.
