Buckle up the kids and avoid the penalty points;
Make sure Children are in the appropriate car seat or booster seat; if you fail to do so you may receive up to 5 penalty points and a court fine of €800.
3 out of 4 child car seats are fitted incorrectly. Good news to help address this issue the Road safety authority are running a “Check it fits” service. The service is currently touring Ireland, to see when it is in your town http://www.rsa.ie/checkitfits.

It is not recommended that children sleep for long periods of time in the car seat so take lots of breaks on the long journeys!
